This looks awesome; it’s also a way way prototype, so it might not even look like this, and this song might not even show up in the final game. But if it’s anything like this, it’s awesome. Granted, stuff like this has been done before with Guitarfreaks/Drummania/Keyboardmania, but it’s all Japaneazy stuff, not stuff I know or recognize.

Anime Expo is coming soon, and they are deploying transvestite robots! Not really, but they are showing the Rocky Horror Picture Show and a advanced screening of the Transformers movie? That’s not very animoo or Japanese? Or is it? Oizys talks at length about Odin Sphere, and a revelation he came up with; it’s River City Ransom on crack. In addition to all the similarities, it also has some pretty engrossing. Plundr, a new DS game uses some awesome wifi hax to make a game based off the trade and pillaging of pirate life. Moving around in reality simulates movement in the game, where your physical location determines where you are in relationship to islands and other pirates. From the makers of Heroclix comes Haloclix. The world is not ready. We visit Supreme Commander again, because of the new patch. We talk about big real-world-influenced maps and how they change the game.

Duke Nukem Forever - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

PC Gamer: July: Duke Nukem

Going off the Wiki:

Duke Nukem Forever was officially announced on April 27, 1997 along with the purchase of a license to use the Quake II engine.

I was 16? 17? I think we were playing the Duke Nukem 3D around that time. Our favorite thing to do was to play either the first or second levels, but only play with pistols and shotguns; the fights were slow enough that you could get some really cool gunfights.

It’s been TEN FUCKING YEARS. What were you doing a DECADE AGO?

It finally happened. Mario vs. Sonic, in bed together, having romance. The two legends of gaming history are now going to be in a game together. We touch upon this topic and concept several times this episode, with discussions ranging from actual game mechanic differences, the amount of success (more like disparity am i rite) between both games, and the future of both franchises. A Chinese MMO creates a new, innovative and creative way to unban your character from your favorite MMO: Donate blood! (Yeah, real blood from your real body.) We saw TMNT this weekend, and it was badass. PAX PAX PAX. It’s going to be harder, better, faster, stronger, bigger, badder, and more radical this year then ever before. We will be there with power and fury.

The ‘Burger King’ Will Have His Own Movie … Sigh - Cinematical

By now everyone’s seen those bizarrely creepy Burger King commercials in which the massive-headed mascot appears in the most weirdly unlikely of places. Apparently this ad campaign has been something special for the BK corporation — it even spawned a series of Xbox video games that some of my friends call “addictively awful.” (I played the one called Sneak King … for about 3.3 minutes.) But now comes word that the King of Burgers is about to make the leap to the silver screen. Yes, that’s right: A feature film centered around a corporate mascot.
